Starting to play

So, I'm looking for another game to play, and figured, why not this one?. Currently, I've played for 1 day, and am completly lost, there is so much to do and reading these forums don't really help with starting out. So, any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and whats the AR faction?

there are currently two (at least) AR factions
one under my command and the second managed by Schickles and Warno
we are giving home not only for (AR) people but also other players that we met on TC

if you are only starting probably the most useful information you will find on www.TCBasic.com

also post your nickname and id that you are using in torn city so we know who you are....

also if you need some money to buy few things and help you start hit me in game as well

I hate taking people's money first off, because if I decide to quit, then I just lost a lot of someones money, but if I ever need some help, I'll let you know. Thanks mate.

Some thoughts.

Energy is The most valuable thing in the game, so dont waste it on attacking and mugging. spend as much as you can on your stats and try to keep them even.

Nerve is the next most valuable thing. this is where your money comes from. read this, http://tchelp.wetpaint.com/page/Nerve+Bar+Guide

Resist attacking or mugging until you are at least level 10. attacking and mugging will keep you weak, spend all energy on stats. (yes i say it twice because this is the key to becoming strong)

Forget spending money on guns until you need one for the nerve 7 crimes. just get a sword and armor then all the newbies and noobs will give you free x.p. when they lose to you.

Thanks, I've been noticing the whole nervebar thing being important.

Are there any stats that are more important that I should focus on, or just try and keep all of them about the same?

Working stats are going to be a source of income and depending on how good they are it can be a serious source of income my suggestion focus on INtelligence is the stat every company seems to need so get it =]

Faction wise just search -AR-

Academy and Boot Camp are your best choices but If yyou'd like to be with your acid homies, Boot camp.

and yes digger i dont manage boot camp anymore thats Vo!d Osok and Warno

/join traders - nice place to find good deals, or sell things
/join acidrain - our irc kindly provided by void
/join giveaway - gives random stuff out for free

Speed.. the higher the more you will hit (depends on enemy's dexterity)
Strength.. the higher the more damage you do (depending on enemy defense and armor)
Defense.. the higher the more damage you will absorb (depending enemy's strength and your armor)
Dexterity.. the higher the less your opponent will hit (depends on enemy's speed)

In the old system high speed was favored, but in this new system balance is better.

Personally i train to.
Speed 30%
strength 30%
defense 20%
Dexterity 20% also used in busting and stealth attacks.

At the start i trained 25% on all stats till i got to 10000, then decided a bit more speed and strength helped.

i get all confused with all the academy and boot camp change overs

use Vo!d's advice - he knows what he's saying there - with emphasis on reading the nerve bar tutorial he linked you...

Lol. I haven't thought about joining yet, but I know I saw some people I know. Maybe that was boot camp.?

And that nerve bar turorial was great. I'm working on following it now.

We have 1 space left in Acid Rain Academy. We are doinfg a good job I think. they are all loyal, I got some problems with a guy that said he won't jon the oc because I didn't pay him, but I was calculating the amount to give to members. so after we solved all problems.
I think warno or schickles know jereimon, he was in your faction. now he is the co-leader and he is doing a great job. If you want to investigate just ask and come to Academy
