Cant get on or find the server

I downloaded the 2.60b patch and the et starter pro and i still cant get on or find the server can someone help me??

Windows keep closing my ET why?

do you become any error message then you get kicked?

I would run punkbuster setup. (pbsetup.exe)
This is a good place to start if something is kicking you back to windows.

And I would try to connect manually to the IP 82.118.208.185

I usually just connect to the server through xfire rather than look through the list for it. Some servers do not show up on 2.60 for some reason. The Chicken Bucket server almost never shows up for me so I have to connect manually.

u need to reanistall PB, or update it manually.

When you were kicked today, it said you need to update your punkbuster. Please do that first then try again. If it fails again, please post back here with your results.

pb was updated and still no luck.

It only kicks me off ET when i enter the server but untill then Wnidows has no problems...

I should have taken a screenshot of the pb error yesterday. If I was you, I would jump on the server and ask someone very quickly to do this before it kicks you and then post it here so you, as well as others may be able to help. It will give you the punkbuster kick code number and then you can go from there.

Ehm..a long shot but: what graphics card do you have and do you have the latest driver?

when reinstalling punk buster - make sure that you also allow that program to access internet.

If punkbuster services are being blocked by firewall or if you had set them to disabled in windows services then when you try to play - the game will think you have no PB at all....

make sure that the services are not disabled
there are 2 services related to PunkBuster... PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB...
if you want to check if they are not disabled by windows click Start -> Run -> type "services.msc" and then enter
scroll down to find those two entries and set the "type of loading" (or "type of running", not sure - using non-English version of windows) to automatic/auto if it's set to anything else...


As for the firewall you'll have to check it yourself cause i don't know if you are using any or what type of firewall you have

I updated my driver once and the chicken bucket server kept kicking me out. Gerbik told me I needed to restart my computer. duh. So I did.....and it worked.

RADEON 9250 And yea i do

yes i do. cus the maps wont load if im on guest or limited
