| I start ET and it starts fine, but then after about 3 seconds it says
ET.exe has encounted a problem and needs to close!
the only that has changed on my computer is the antivirus software and I have changed all the setting on it and even tried running ET with the antivirus off and it still does it! | |

| Ok checked the et bible and figured out how to check its 56.
And I might add ET starts fine and as long as I dont join server it runs, but as soon as I join server I get the error message! | |

| yes, I think it might have something to do with my new antivirus software, but I can't figure what, as I had no problem until I had to switch to Charters antivirus, so if you know of any FREE really good antivirus programs I can try, I might be out of playing for awhile!

| Avast seems to be one of the better products on the market. But take any two AV tests and the results will be completely different. You can definitely try to turn the antivirus off and see if that's the problem, but don't forget to put it back on then  | |
