| Looks pretty amazing, but its not wise to replace the pak0.pk3
Call it something with zzz infront of it so its last in the list. You wont have to replace pak0 that way. | |

| i dont think it will work, the server side has to run the same file. Its not the same as a skin pak and when u do change the pak0.pk3 you may not be able to get into other servers. | |

| Changing pak0 is no good at any time, you're right.
The way you make a skinpack is you copy pak0.pk3 or anything else to your own pk3, then edit it. | |

| Btw the golden rule of ET modding is - 1) don't replace pk3's, only add them 2) only include files that you really need in your pk3 | |

| ive made maps before, it think i know what is and is not true. If you run your own server, then it will work. But if you modify pk3 file you change the filesize and it will not run under a server that reports to the main ET server. They did that to prevent cheaters from making their own textures. For instance back in Quake 2 i was able to make every player wear a glowing texture which i was able to see them in dark places. So in reality, if you change the default PK3 and you copy it to your server then people can cannot and see the texture, but if you try to connect to another server that is running and you try to enter with your own modified default PK3 then it will not let you in. | |

| while we wait for the "releashe" i read somewhere that there is a high definition version of Wolf ET going around. supposedly the textures are super high resolution. you may have to search google for this one. | |

Oh thanks! Made a cursor myself though. If i want something done, might as well do it myself Alot of stuff floating on the inet for making changes to ET though. Pretty amazing stuff. I wonder why some of those people would bother personalizing ET, while they have the skill to make their own game | |

| There's no need for any special tools for ET or any q3 based game. It's all just ordinary file formats packed in a zip renamed to pk3.

| Okay I'll give out my secret trick. I looked it up on google. lol Okay okay, here it is. TGA has alpha chanel, too. In a good graphics software you can display channels and then edit the alpha channel as well. Just be careful about smooth fonts, anti-aliasing and such - you cannot use transparency in a standard way in RGB channels. What I did was adjust the alpha channel and then instead of typing {AR} in the RGB space I have put three giant rectangles in there, with red, blue and red color and safely overlapping the text in alpha channel. You'll find out anyways, when your graphics has white edges you'll remember to make sure the RGB part overlaps the alpha channel | |
