well it's offline currently

It's no longer in the Gametrackers Database

The URL for this server was mis-typed or incorrect can't be this one as i had it bookmarked
<The IP address and/or port of this server has changed or was deleted >
This server has not been added to GameTracker yet same as the first one bookmark

gametracker aint the point point is falk is afk and server crashed did did

he said he wanted to work on it... look at the post above guys. i am sure falk is a busy guy who has things to do on top of helping AR get back on its feet. give the man some room

Well, perhaps he's away on week or two vacation ... perhaps once he gets back, he'll put that server back online

Falk went on holiday I think. He was telling me he'd put it up and then have to leave.

Anyways, I have a complete backup of the skull&bones server if thats what we want.

Skull and bones would be fine ... now we need just the server on which to put it

i liked skull and bone but prob is... not to many people play etpro tht jump around on serevers they mostly hav e one server and stick to it

S&B would be awesome just to have a stable server. (I assume it's less likely to crash?)

Pub is probably the ideal though for our current situation.

am thinking same thing they both have their pros and cons its just which one has more pro's really =X

im downloading ET right now but i forgot how to patch..

is it: 2.60 patch from splash site and after that i always used tokra's patchselector.
but i forgot where i can find that..

Ok, I'm busy as heck right now but I have a full server ready for game install. Z if you have a S&B backup can you install it to the server? What do you need besides access etc?

I'll set up the server in its permanent location tomorrow so let me know what we decide. Sorry Z, I don't have time to mess with linux right now.

Need remote access (vnc or mstsc), probably some way to get the files in (ftp would be fine) and having ET installed on there would be neat too, but I can do that if you have no time for that. PM me or something with the passwords.

Or alternative solution can be install some vmware (i suggest vmware server), then install linux inside a virtual machine and voila, we have server that can be transferred across computers if necessary

hehe, it sounds complex, zeman, but it's really not that much. you simply take a vmware module, load it with linux and then install et in it. you can then give that whole vmware module to anyone and they'll have a fully configured et within a linux o/s ready to run on most any machine. and, it virus proof. if it gets hacked, you simply close the vmware module and restart it and all viruses and hacks are gone. poof!

Along with all settings, levels, logs and so on.

I know VMware and i know what Bilbo means.

I just find it easier to backup the ET directory instead.
